Functions/Duties:• Train new employees, including managers, and develop and implement new strategies for efficient processing of shipments as the Subject Matter Expert (SME).• Organize and set up information regarding vendor shipments to maximize receiving department efficiency as part of the Consolidated Office team.• Research and resolve various issues from all departments as part of the reserve Inventory Control/Quality Assurance team.• Compile and interpret building productivity data to send to corporate headquarters as the reserve Data Processing Clerk.• Coordinate and schedule inbound trailers to maintain proper inventory levels in conjunction with a just-in-time store inventory system as the reserve Inbound Scheduler.

Materials Handling: Operating heavy machinery (Electric Pallet Jacks, Pacer Trucks) to move freight from the Inbound dock to its proper area to be processed, which includes three separate processing stations (Break Pack, Conveyable Carton Sort, and Put-To-Store) as well as directly staging freight on the Outbound docks to be loaded onto shipments for stores. Inbound: Unloading and processing incoming shipments and preparing them for shipment to The Home Depot stores. Additional duties include ensuring product remains intact, collecting and reporting on damaged product to be processed by Inventory Control/Quality Assurance, and cooperating with other departments to ensure freight is moved properly and efficiently.Additional experience in the following areas: Conveyable Carton Sort & Induction, Fluid Unload/Processing, Inventory Control/Quality Assurance, Auditing, and New Associate training/development. Maintained efficiency levels and upheld standards and core values in these departments in the warehouse when needed, often multiple times per week.
