I received my background in electronics in the USAF where I worked on the avionics on board the EC-130. I used schematics to locate and troubleshoot, fix or replace wiring and hardware. Since then I worked for Saminco, Inc. for 3 years in R&D, production, and eventually Mgmt. Saminco is a manufacturer of AC and DC electric traction drives for underground mining vehicles, street cars in New Orleans and electric buses in several countries in Europe.I recently returned to school to pursue an AS and eventually a Bachelors in Informations Technology. Specifically Networking and Computer Programming. I am working in a sales position at a local lumber yard to help me through school, but would really like to get my foot in the door, maybe as an apprentice, with a company in the industry I am studying.At my current job, I volunteered to take over the maintenance of the small office network. We have 10 users, 1 server and all of this was already existing. I am designing our new buildings network from the ground up and have already started pulling cables for that network. Our new building will be completed in April 2008 at which time we will also be increasing our users to 14.Specialties: Being new to the "professional" side of this industry, my certified credentials are non-existent. I have done home networking for myself, friends and family for several years but have yet to do any for a company specializing in the industry.
