Championed and led the starting of a rewrite and modernization of a legacy codebase into an extensible, scalable framework to meet the demands of a growing organization.Led the architecture, design, and development of a brand new product, the Inventory Management System, with other talented developers, using Node/Express/Apollo Server, PostreSQL, MongoDB and a React + Redux + Apollo front-end. Helped get the product demo ready and started preparing for initial customer group.Worked to integrate legacy systems with the new IMS product to build a seamless cohesiveness between the two products to maximize user experience.

Built several applications related to high school sports, including scheduling, roster management, result reporting, and player registration. These apps were built using Angular, and later React, to build a cohesive experience for athletic directors, coaches, athletes, and parents to help streamline the processes for managing high school teams.Also worked on the backend REST API, written in PHP with Silex and Doctrine, and later as a GraphQL solution written in Node, as well as provisioning and managing servers, mostly using Ansible.Facilitated the role of ScrumMaster with our small Scrum team, and later worked in an R&D role evaluating technologies, frameworks, and other tooling, and provided proof of concepts and prototypes for future generations of VNN software.

As a member of a talented software team, helped to build out Customer Relationship Management (CRM), billing, ordering, trouble ticket, and commission systems, written in PHP, using Zend Framework and Doctrine, and JavaScript, using PostgreSQL as a database back-end. Helped guide technical direction and ensure software goals were met or exceeded, as well as helped train other developers on software principles and existing systems. Facilitated the role of ScrumMaster to help keep the project on track, record progress, and remove impediments to daily work.Developed, maintained and enhanced several business systems including a quoting/pricing system, CRM, purchasing, invoicing, commissions, trouble ticket and customer portal, using PHP (Zend Framework 1 + 2), Doctrine, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. Performed the role of ScrumMaster for a Scrum/Agile team consisting of 4-5 developers. Did some work with Wordpress for the corporate website, as well as some work maintaining legacy systems written in Java RCP and Perl.

Led the design and development of several customer projects including: corporate websites, content management systems (CMS), e-commerce systems, and ERP systems for several manufacturing clients. Often worked alone, but sometimes in team environments where I provided daily leadership and instructions to junior level developers. Was responsible for maintaining and deploying development and production Linux (Gentoo) servers.
