I am a pragmatic, solutions-driven leader with over 10 years of experience in research and the private sector. I have a successful track record for developing and growing successful, functioning teams in early-stage companies with limited resources across time zones and cultural barriers. I am also a subject matter expert in hydrology, with numerous peer-reviewed publications specializing in nature based solutions, operational forecasting and real-time simulation, environmental monitoring, and green infrastructure. As an alumnus of the U.S. Fulbright Program to Australia, I am passionate about using my career to build a more resilient, sustainable future through evidence-based decision making, global collaboration, and leadership. Growing up on a small island in the State of Rhode Island, I've always been fascinated by the management of water resources and flood phenomena. I've dedicated my career to researching how water impacts people and vice versa, and have focused on deploying innovative solutions to flooding around the world to the people that need it most.
