Taught 7th grade science (including Pre-AP sections) to a diverse population of students including 504/ELL and GT students. The varied student population in each section required modification of assignments and in class activities to ensure each student was given the correct instruction necessary for individual success.Co-teacher and myself, with oversight from PLC and administration, were responsible for: planning/creating curriculum, curriculum alignment with TEKS, data breakdown from assignments/assessments, showing how we would reteach/spiral instruction back to the overall lowest TEKS, and proving how we were motivating the proficient students into moving towards advanced standings.

I provide administrative support to the laboratory by creating Word documents, Excel sheets, creating/editing policies/procedures on THR PolicyConnect as needed, and manage payroll/attendance for the Laboratory Department. Answer the incoming phone to the pathology department routing calls as needed, or assisting area physician offices in locating/retrieving pathology reports.I accession pathology specimens, ensuring patient & specimen information remains accurate or escalate to the correct departments when discrepancies are found. Assist with slide staining (Dif Quick & Pap stains) for Frozen Sections & Fine Needle Aspiration procedures.When outside labs request tissues for specialized testing or consultation I assist the pathologist on site by pulling slides and send selected slides/blocks to the requesters while maintained necessary paperwork to remain within CAP regulations.In training to assist with Fine Needle Aspirate and Bone Marrow collection procedures, and also to provide back up assistance in Frozen Section cutting.

Verify patient demographics/specimen types between requisitions and personal information sheets from physician records, then generate discrepancies if data isn't consistent. Meeting or exceeding daily performance requirements in productivity and quality, all while following protocol in an anatomical pathology lab setting.My monthly productivity is consistently top 5 in the department. Because of my rank, I have been asked to mentor new hires to find ways to increase their productivity through time management and software shortcut keys. Also assisting in refresher training for employees in other departments who have previous experience in our department.

Front Desk: Answer a 5 line incoming phone, maintain patient confidentiality in pathology report distribution to physicians, assist medical offices in completing patient records, using basic office equipment, light filing, and preparing needed reports/pulling slides for pathologist review before weekly conferences.Gross Room: Assist pathologists by numbering specimens received from area physicians after verifying patient information between requisitions and specimen labels, process fluids/stain slides according to protocol, enter patient information into computer system, and maintain lab equipment/supplies.
