Designed and managed School’s Out NYC programming for Middle School sites fostering academic, social, and emotional competencies and physical wellbeing, aligning with Sunnyside Community Services vision and mission in a safe and nurturing environment.Hired, trained, and coached a team of 10 staff members, responsible for program development, outreach, recruitment, enrollment, and retention. Cultivated and maintained relationships (i.e.: D.O.E, DYCD, DHS and CBO’s) to reach contracted enrollment and enhance program resources.Point person representing SONYC programming for the organization through reporting and showcasing program impact to the state local government officials, funders, board members and advocating on the behalf of program participants. Analyzed data informing the leadership and development team, program impact and community needs to influence future funding opportunities and secure existing contracts. Managed program budgets by thoroughly completing forecasts, tracking expenses, approving transactions, and conducting budget modifications with the fiscal department ensuring program expenses don’t exceed the annual budget. Act as liaison between Department of Health and the organization regarding NYS comprehensive background check procedures, streamlining the process for the human resource dept and all Sunnyside youth programs. Developed best practices, standard operating procedure, information, and data management strategies for the youth department and conducted training on these topics for the Youth and Family Services dept. Created evaluation tools for program compliance and impact to utilize for internal and external audits.Planned and hosted community and family engagement events.

Assisted in the recruitment and management of 25 instructors, responsible for the day-to-day operation of DYCD Compass (grades K-5th grade), Middle School Office of Children Services Program (6th-8th grade) and Evening Adult program (ages 18-24). Directly supervised and developed Summer Youth and Employment workers (ages18-24) through job placement in Summer Camp programing and facilitating workshops.Evaluated training, lesson plans, and instructional objectives for educational activities. Created engaging lesson plans to encourage program improvement, academic knowledge, and skills for participants. Coached and trained instructors on behavior management techniques, S.T.E.M curriculum implementation and the designing of engaging lesson plans. Built and maintained collaborative relationships with various teams and stakeholders that interface with all program aspects. Ensured accuracy of program data and information for stakeholders by developing and completingreporting processes. Created marketing strategies for all programming to meet enrollment deadlines on time.

Created lesson plans for project-based S.T.E.M activities aligning with DOE standards.Collaborated with Department of Education schools in the area, to address learning needs for students to fill the gaps through program activities. Designed and implemented observation tools to measure staff instructional delivery, resulting in an increase in instructional quality.Based on participant survey results identified gaps in services, collaborated with program team members, redesign the program curriculum resulting in participant satisfaction and engagement.Worked with participants on setting academic and career goals by researching and planning step by step processes to meet their goals.

Directly supervise a group of children along with other program staff and provide the safety and wellbeing of participants by adhering to all program guidelines. Coordinated with the Program Director to plan special events for children and families.Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for children ages 5-13.
