I began my journey in nutrition through my high school culinary program, when I realized that not only am I a foodie at heart, but I needed to know the science behind the effects food has on our bodies. I am a 2022 graduate from the University of North Florida, with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and a minor in Food Systems and Sustainability. My biggest accomplishment to date has been to get my research on whole grains, specifically sorghum, published in an accredited Nutrition Journal and to have had the privilege of presenting my research at multiple conferences including: SNEB, SOARS, and FNCE. I am now a Nutrition Educator for The State of Florida in their Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) office. Where I hope to continue my path to my ultimate goal of being a Registered Dietitian.
