Further support by a bench marking exercise by SoCITM (2008-09) showed that we had one of the lowest costs per data connection of any County Council.• Established regular, structured supplier review meetings for contracted services.• Prepared, wrote and evaluate Invitations to Tender (ITT) including Voice and data 24/7 managed contract, firewall security 24/7 managed service, and private data circuits. These were complex tenders that had to comply with government procurement regulations.• Developed the WAN and LAN to be resilient through circuit and infrastructure design and implementation. The availability of all WAN circuits was measured using in-house tools (SolarWinds) and all circuits (except ADSL) regularly achieved 99.9% availability• Reduced cost per head, with 155 sites and 4500 end users meaning annual costs for the Data, Security and Telephony to £245 per end user.• Assisted the Head of IT and Corporate Director to establish the continued services of both potential on boarding, closing existing contracts as well as wrote complex report for WiFi, requests from partner organisations to a partnership.• Registered clearance with central government for public services standards.• Compliancy: Penetration testing (internal & external) and managed to resolution.
