Currently looking to secure an internship for summer of 2025 in cybersecurity consulting or responsible AI research!I am a passionate first-generation student with a fascination for cybersecurity and ethical AI. Working to help others was my original goal when I initially started attending college in a much different discipline: pre-med. My want to help others and innate intrigue for technology eventually led me to cybersecurity. I've been fortunate to have experience teaching via peer tutoring for information systems students as well as conducting AI-central research under the mentorship of a faculty mentor during my undergrad. I believe that both security literacy and ethical AI will be paramount in affecting societal improvement. I want to make a positive impact within these spaces to aid in moving things in a safe and equitable direction. I've spent a great deal of time pondering whether I'd like to pursue a PhD after my master's in this discipline, but that is yet to be decided. I plan to work in the industry for at least 5 years before determining my next steps. I graduated from Weber State University with the awards of: Outstanding Baccalaureate Graduate, Outstanding Information Systems Graduate, and Outstanding Student Researcher. I hope to make similar strides during my time at Carnegie Mellon University while pursuing my master's.
