Civil Division, Office Of Vaccine Litigation

As a Law Clerk with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Vaccine Litigation, I assisted staff attorneys in reviewing and responding to petitions for compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, a program designed to provide those injured by vaccinations an alternative to traditional litigation. In this position, I created detailed factual chronologies from medical records for individual claims, drafted responses to initial petitions for compensation, and researched novel applications of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, including the right of non-custodial parents and extended family members to file for compensation on behalf of a claimant.

Office Of General Counsel, Public Health Division

The Public Health Division with the U.S. Department Health of Human Services’ Office of the General Counsel provides legal and policy support to a wide range of HHS agencies and departments, including the National Institutes of Health, Indian Health Service, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
