• Senior member of development team responsible for the porting of Hadoop ecosystem components such as Hadoop core and HBase for IBM platforms. Mentored other experienced team members with all aspects of development cycle including build, packaging, Junit test development (Ant and Maven), debugging and execution of Java and JNI (C++) code. Key contributor to setup of Development environment including setup of SVN, Agile tools (RTC), Bug reporting system, Build environment and Debugging tools.• Senior member of team responsible for development, build, packaging and Integration testing of the management functionality of the KVM Hypervisor for the IBM Director Platform Agent • Monitoring, screening, and debugging of defects reported on Linux Operating System by various organizations in IBM. Worked with IBM's Linux Distribution Partners and development organizations for resolution of bugs. Led less experienced team members in providing support for major Linux distributor releases.• Led the Architecture and Development effort of IBM Director's Update Manager Extension for Linux in Java. This was a special project utilizing 4 interns that were new to the organization and who had little product development experience. As a result of my leadership, the team delivered the functionality on schedule despite the shortened development cycle. • Designed, led, and completed a Proof of Concept effort to explore the use of Orthogonal Defect Classification (ODC) tools for Bugzilla defects. Presented the results of the study to IBM development partners and highlighted the value such tools could bring to their development process. • Customized and provided maintenance and support for a Perl based Defect reporting tool used by IBM’s Management. This required instructing the management team on the use of the tool, effective methods to analyze the output, and to resolve issues.

- Provided Pre-sales Technical support and Architectural guidance, as well as Proofs of Concept and other Technical advice to external Customers and IBM Technical Sales teams. - Developed Workshops, Technical Collateral, and Presentations for Technical Enablement for IT specialists, IT Architects and other Technical personnel. - Led a team of engineers on developing a Workshop on the Installation and Configuration of Linux for about 2,000 participants.- Platform specific implementation on Windows and OS/2 to launch Platform-neutral Java Shell using Java and C. Responsibilities included development of Platform pack services in Java and C (JNI methods) to provide platform specific implementation.- Java Virtual Machine development: Installation, development, and porting of JVM for OS/2, Windows, and Linux. - Various OS/2 projects. Experience included System Verification Test, Customer Service and Support, and Development. - Provided Skills transfer of OS/2 Customer Support Organization to IBM India and to the support organizations at the end of the development cycle for different projects.
