This involves identification of SaaS traffic, protocol level optimizations, SaaS data reduction, establishing trust between SteelHead and clients and other geo-location based optimizations.Member of the Performance team at Riverbed whose core focus is storage and network performance tuning and optimizations for Riverbed products.Member of the Network Integration team, which is responsible for the core networking aspects of the SteelHead appliance. Work primarily focused on networking layers (2, 3 and 4) of the Linux kernel stack used by SteelHead.Worked on the design and development of PathSelection feature for the SteelHead appliance. using which application flows can be classified using DPI (deep packet inspection) and steered onto desired path (MPLS or Internet WAN routes). Secure and Isolated Execution of Sensitive Applications:PoC requirement was to have all sensitive information and operations on them be performed on an IBM secure co-processor instead of the host machine. These primarily included network and file I/O. To achieve this, my project was to develop a JNI network library, which would intercept all I/O (network/file) operations and integrate it with JamVM (a lightweight JVM). Thus enabling all sensitive Java operations to be executed on the secure co-processor.Cloud Cost Analyser:Developed an application that calculates the cost of deploying a cloud service on any Cloud Service provider based on user's processing, bandwidth, storage and load balancer requirements.
