Shipping Experience:Over two and a half years hands on experience operating, maintaining and repairing HM&E and auxiliaries systems aboard a wide variety of ships including MV North Star, T/V Kings Pointer, USNS Joshua Humphreys, MV Greenland Sea, MV Miss Marilene Tide, MV Integrity and MV Cape Ducato. Currently, working as 2nd assistant engineer onboard a Crowley operated MARAD ROS ship. As 2nd onboard the 10,777 HP medium speed diesel Roll On Roll Off Cargo Ship, responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of fuel and water systems, including electrical troubleshooting, welding/brazing fabrication jobs, hydraulic maintenance, water testing/treating. Previously, as 3rd assistant engineer aboard 10,728 HP diesel electric Offshore vessel, responsible for NS5 scheduled maintenance on all shipboard systems, operation and maintenance of CAT generators, proper transfer of fuel, mud, cement, and barite to/from drill ships and oilrigs, tracing grounds and gaining operational proficiency of Siemens Automation System. Performed overhaul on HVAC units, Azimuth thrusters, Fuel Oil purifiers, automated deck valves, FW coolers, F.O. coolers and auxiliary screw pumps.Shipyard Experience:Detyens Shipyard Inc. Charleston, SC (May 2012 – July 2012)As Assistant Shipyard Superintendent, supported the regular overhaul and dry-docking of the MSC vessel, USNS Artic T-AOE-8. Responsibilities included conducting maintenance on General Electric LM2500 Gas turbine engines; maintenance on galley/scullery equipment; inspecting the auxiliary boiler; inspecting fuel tanks; supervising installation of the King Post; managing timing and proper operation of different working groups including electricians, pipe fitters, carpenters, ship fitters, machinists, painters, and QA inspectors; and support the scheduling of USCG inspections of different shipboard systems.
