Lead or be involved into several network change projects. Those projects support Cisco new business growth, improve supply chain efficiency, save cost or provide better customer experience. • Lead project of setup logistics footprint to support new manufacturing site in western China. The project achieved goal of no cost increase and only 2 days lead time increase vs. southern China site. • Lead 2 new Vendor Manage Inventory (VMI) warehouses setup in China and 1 hub close in HK. • Lead project of delivery to China customer dock. It’s a change of model of handing over shipment to distributors at HK. • Work with global team in projects like Strategic goods control (ECCN), Thailand VMI and FG warehouse consolidation, US Mega hub, Material warehouse network analysis, Inventory management etc. Warehouse Operation management• Be responsible for managing 6 VMI operations in Asia Pacific region. Overall footage is more than 40000 sqms. • Manage and provide strategic support to external hub providers, to ensure the operations meet the needs of the Cisco manufacturing production sites. • Be responsible for performance metrics within each Hub operation: inbound receipt, hub utilization, on time shipment, exception management... Manage external partner performance with appropriate operations reviews and scorecards. • Be the point of contact for all regional needs and escalations as it pertains to the VMI/Hub operations. • Be responsible for driving operational costs savings and efficiencies, identifying root cause of issues and developing plan to address, and developing solutions to critical and complex short term or long term challenges.Manage regional transportation issues. Help internal stakeholders and external customers resolve issues like delay, damage, data integrity, shipping document, etc. Support projects of global freight biding, expedite cost control or cross Geo customer direct delivery.

Manage both projects and operation. Join Southern China VMI hub location assessment, supplier assessment and supplier selection team as operation rep. Lead Southern China VMI hub implementation. The hub was successfully implemented by Mar 2008. Manage hub/transportation operation after implementation. Lead a project team with security, quality, packaging experts and supplier to enable the partial capability, which can fulfill customer order of CPU with MOQ one in Southern China VMI hub. Beside VMI hub implementation, initiate and lead several projects (some are on going projects) for cost saving/process improvement.• HK distribution center aging inventory reduction• Outbound shipment HAWB consolidation• Packaging material reengineering• Direct ship from manufacturing site• Retail CPU excess inventory resale

Manage HK DC operation for 18 month. It is an Intel multi function DC, shipping products to Intel global customers. The warehouse ships 3000~4000 ton finish goods to customer quarterly, 30% of Intel finish goods Vol. of Asia. I manage DC overall operation, on time receiving and shipping, inventory management, safety and security, cost, customer issues and complaints. I achieved a record of continuous 12 months no customer complaints. I also cover transportation management. Support global transportation supplier bidding. At the mean time, I lead several projects like HK 3PL local trucking removal, Ocean implementation and long-distance trucking projects for cost saving and efficiency improvement purpose.

JV of IBM & Great Wall 1, Have experience of purchasing different kinds of electronic components such as cables, power supply, memory, mechanical and packing materials. 2, Study customer and planning team weekly requirement. Analyze production forecast. Send forecast to material supplier and collect supplier commitment on time. 3, Analyze supplier commitment vs production forecast. Work with planning team and supplier to close supply gap. Ensure supplier keep 2 week buffer inventory in VMI hub. 4, Monitor supplier VMI hub inventory. Control over supply. Work out disposition plan with supplier for aged inventory. 5, Work with engineer and supplier for quality issue. Arrange rework/RMA shipment to supplier. Get rework plan or refund from supplier. 6, Monitor payment process. Work with finance team for payment issue. Ensure on time payment and no over payment. 7, Supplier relationship maintenance and performance measurement. Quarterly supplier SRC review. 8, Work with IBM Worldwide procurement team on solving global supply constraint problem; 9, Join supplier selection and new part number allocation. Provide supplier operation performance feedback. 10, Total supply cost control;
