Kurt Huie is a Senior Financial Analyst of BVA Group. Mr. Huie has experience in the valuation of MLP (“Master Limited Partnership”) drop downs, oil and gas infrastructure, property tax, financial reporting, and complex facility insurance. He has managed or assisted on appraisals for purchase price allocation, litigation support, dispute resolution, property tax, insurance, and financial reporting assignments. Mr. Huie has valued assets throughout North America, South America, Asia, and Africa for clients in the oil and gas, mining, agriculture, pharmaceutical, public sector, chemical process, hospitality, and consumer goods industries. Mr. Huie has played an integral role in the successful valuations of complex properties around the world such as chemical process plants, natural gas processing plants, coal mines, and food processing plants. In 2014 Mr. Huie performed the primary personal property analysis of Phillips 66’s acquisition of Chevron Corporation’s 7.1 million crude oil and refined products storage terminal in Beaumont, Texas which is now the largest storage facility in the Phillips 66 portfolio. Mr. Huie has also assisted The Wonderful Company in multiple acquisitions and property tax disputes throughout the United States. In addition, Mr. Huie has assisted on multiple acquisitions for Westmoreland Coal Company, one the largest domestic coal producers in North America. His expertise has led to the successful valuation of over five billion dollars of tangible personal property assets across a myriad of industry verticals.Mr. Huie has completed courses ME 201-204 towards ASA (American Society of Appraisers) certification. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University.
