Tasks involved working with provisioning groups to verify circuit diversity and optioning (i.e. fault propagation). Confirming customer site preparedness (rack space, power, demarc extensions, access, providing/submitting Letters of Authorization [LOA]). Creating and providing router/switch base configurations to the Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) staging team. • Developed complex latency matrices for the Verizon Marketing team used in presentations to prospective VFN customers. This documentation demonstrated the latency provided on the VFN from various nodes around the globe while reinforcing commitment to SLAs. • Provided weekly dropped packet Quality of Service reporting used in the analysis of customer interfaces (related to over-subscription or circuit errors). These reports generated an average of approximately $50k annually. • Worked with Field Engineers (FE) to install VFN Customer Premise Equipment. This required an ability to communicate complicated processes efficiently to different audiences. Testing and troubleshooting of circuit paths (confirming IP reachability).• Data Center equipment installation, testing and decommissioning. Performed testing and troubleshooting of backbone & customer circuits, ensuring connectivity at layers 1-3. Also, prepared for geographical relocations (hot-cuts or grooms). Worked with vendors to acquire RMA’s required for trade-in credits.
