CurrentNesta designs, tests and scales solutions for society's biggest problems. The sustainable future mission goal is to help the UK reduce household emissions by 30% by 2030 from 2019 levels. Our work focuses on making it easier for people to use clean, green sources of energy to heat and power their homes. Impact is pursued through influencing policy and stakeholders with evidence and insights, starting novel ventures through the Mission Studio, developing open frameworks and tools, working directly with key partners, and funding innovative solutions.I am currently operating as an analyst applying mixed-methods approaches in a multi-disciplinary team with design, data analysis, behavioural research and other practices, under an informal agile framework (two-week sprints). Recent highlights include: • Helping to establish Nesta in the heat decarbonisation sector with a key report. • Defining a few pathways and challenges for switching streets to low-carbon heat. • Assessing the UK government's plan to obligate boiler manufacturers to supply heat pumps alongside other BIT & Nesta colleagues. • Exploring the future of heat pump subsidies.(see links in 'Media' section)Have performed various work across different projects such as: • Policy analyses, secondary research, market overviews, internal/external reports. • Conducting some smaller qualitative research efforts (less rigorous, more incisive). • Workshop development, hosting & thematic analyses. Stakeholder engagement & management. • Simple cost-comparison & futures models. Initially acting as a domain expert. • Assisted in structuring the mission's theory of change alongside scoping for an area of focus.
