• Develop SmartThings solutions against internal priorities, as well as through professional service engagements with SmartThings partners• Act as a subject matter expert and engage with the SmartThings developer community through online forums, developer events and hack days, and online events such as SmartThings Developer Office Hours• Participate in the generation and maintenance of SmartThings developer documentation

DE-EE0006352)Summary:• Application and platform developer of BEMOSS with working knowledge of multi-agent systems, home/building automation protocols (WiFi, Zigbee, Bluetooth, BACnet, Modbus, and OpenADR), embedded system (e.g. Pandaboard, BeagleBone Black, Arduino etc.), and IoT devices integration (e.g. SmartThings, Nest, Philips Hue, Belkin WeMo, Netatmo, Digi XBee, ecobee, Wattnode power meter, Obvius AcquiSuite EMB, Estimote iBeacon, Spark IO etc.)• Familiar with and have working knowledge of AWS, IBM Bluemix, Heroku, Python, Java, Bash, C/C++, Linux, PostgreSQL, sMAP, Eclipse and PyCharm IDE, Github, Django, HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptResponsibilities: • Contribute to BEMOSS system and software architecture design • Design BEMOSS application layer, and develop energy-saving and demand response applications for building energy management system using multi-agent system, machine learning, and advanced optimization techniques • Design BEMOSS operating system layer and develop multi-agent systems • Integrate Internet of Things (IoT) hardware devices: device auto discovery, device monitoring and control, device tampering detection etc. • Design API interface architecture and develop API interfaces including dummy API interfaces for running BEMOSS in a simulation mode • Design, develop, and integrate BEMOSS with databases (i.e., PostgreSQL, sMAP, Apache Cassandra, SQLite etc.) • Test, validate, and commission BEMOSS on small board computers such asRaspberry Pi, Panda board, Beaglebone black, and Odroid etc. • Develop BEMOSS advanced features such as multi-node/multi-building communications, device tampering detection, notification systems (e.g. via email, phone, or text), integration with cloud services (e.g. IFTTT and Temboo)

Responsibilities: - Designed and implemented an agent-based system for a self-healing microgrid considering constraints in the system such as power balance, limitation of controllable devices and distributed generator capacity limit

Responsibilities: - Identified standards for an integration of distributed energy resources to an electric power distribution system - Identified different types of overcurrent problems occur in power systems, simulated a distribution network and provided solution to mitigate impacts of these problems.
