Serving as a Sales Specialist at Betenbough Homes, I established and cultivated relationships with those I was fortunate enough to interact with on a daily basis. Some of those relationships evolved into an opportunity to serve in advising the purchase or construction of a new home. I also had the opportunity to build and grow a portion of a sales team dedicated to serving our potential buyers by finding the roots of their home buying needs. As an Experience Specialist at Betenbough Homes, I was a liaison between the home buyers and the company. I built relationships with the home buyers and their families as I walked with them through the construction process. I served in keeping them updated throughout each phase and fielding their questions and concerns. I also worked closely with our Builders and Construction Manager, as part of a unified team, in striving for excellence by helping to ensure that quality homes were built in a timely manner for our home buyers at an affordable price.

Working for the DXP Safety Services Division, there are many products and services to offer in sales, as well as rentals. This ranges from emergency response equipment, personal protective equipment, and gas monitoring systems, to safety training/orientation, and field safety representatives to supervise operations, permit work, & perform inspections/audits. As a salesman, I acquired new business, clients, and began the process for obtaining master service agreements as well as developed and furthered relationships with existing accounts. Working with my office manager, I assisted in management, dispatching, and overseeing day-to-day operations. Also, I was responsible for inventory of our fleet of rental equipment. Offices for Indian Fire & Safety are located in Denver City, TX & Hobbs, NM. Living in Lubbock, TX & working out of the Denver City office, I covered a broad area that included Eastern NM, Midland/Odessa, and the Lubbock area, including Levelland & Sundown.

I worked as a Contract Safety Consultant through DXP for Chevron Corp. for 18 months in the Sundown and Vealmoor FMTs. Considered by Chevron to be "Field HES Support", I worked with the workover rigs of the Drilling & Completions division. I also supervised the safety aspect of coiled tubing, fracking, and completions of new wells. I had a hand in the supervision of those operations over 4-25 team members from a variety of different disciplines. Supplemental training through Chevron has included Ecolors training through Equilibria, Chevron's Safe Work Practices and Waste Management classes, amongst the continued learning through field experience. I got the chance each day to work at our sites, maintaining compliance with OSHA standards, Chevron policies, other third party contractor policies, as well as compliance with other applicable governmental agencies. I worked closely with the Well Site Managers at ensuring the safety of our work team through their daily operations as well. I permitted and supervised activities as needed, including general permits to work, confined space entry, excavation, hot work, isolation of hazardous energy, and critical lifts. Also, I was responsible for reviewing the quality of job safety analysis by various contractors and used behavior based safety observations as teaching opportunities for the other contractors that I work with. In the event of an accident or incident, the reporting process started with me and I would aid in the investigation process as needed.

At Indian Fire & Safety I worked in a variety of different disciplines including supervising general safety at tank batteries, well work over sites, drilling sites, as well as in gas plants. The general safety included H2S safety, permitting and supervising operations that necessitated confined space entry, excavation, hot work, and high angle rescue.
