Initially developed APIs in C/C++ and Java to allow other Teradata applications to send information about ETL jobs to a single source which could monitor the state of a job which might be loading data across multiple systems. Enhanced APIs and application to support unicode data. Implemented process monitoring functionality, which instantaneously alerted operators about down processes and attempted to automatically restart failed processes. Later worked on a Java utility which attempted to compare how similar objects residing in enterprise databases were. Worked on a C based load balancer which received network messages specific to Teradata and routed messages based on the availability of systems and whether or not the request was mean to write to objects. Implemented the large object protocol which allowed data rows to be inserted which required callbacks from the database.

Worked on the TDE client application which allows metadata developers to define how data gets mapped from their source system to their target system (a data warehouse). Server side development done in Java, client side development performed in C#.NET. Worked with support and professional services to work through implementation issues with the product. Developed a drag and drop interface for database feature enablement. Updated the serialization protocol between client and server to make use of Axis2 web services. Implemented a prototype which moved the application's repository from Oracle to Teradata and replaced handwritten SQL layer with Hibernate implementation.
