Reporting to the Vice President for University Advancement, the position is responsible for planning and managing the University's private fundraising activities and coordinating efforts to achieve and surpass fundraising targets set for the University's campaign.

Promoted from Acting Vice President - April, 1997. Responsibilities include oversight and leadership of university development, public relations, advancement services, media relations, marketing communications, alumni relations, government relations, advocacy programs, and service as executive director of the CSULA Foundation and campus Legislative Liaison.

Manage all operations of the institutionally related foundation, CSULA Foundation, a volunteer board of 22. Accepted, acknowledged, invested and reported on private contributions made to benefit California State University, Los Angeles. Oversee both university endowment and current-use investments. Grew CSULA Foundation assets from $3.2 million to more.

Promoted to create and direct the office of Corporate and Foundation Relations to serve 13 college and program-based development officers and to coordinate and steward the University’s $16 million annual corporate/foundation gifts and donors. Member, Advancement Management Group – three senior development professionals providing leadership and tactical.

Directed and coordinated all aspects of $5 million operating endowment and capital completion campaign in support of a new performing arts facility.

Temporary position reporting to the Director of Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations, researched, recommended and developed proposals/reports for corporate, foundation and public funding sources within $4 million CalArts annual campaign with the goals and strategies of the Campaign for CalArts – a $60 million capital campaign.

Coordinated and directed all aspects of $19.5 million state-wide cultural grants program.

Temporary position reporting to the Director of Decentralization and Service to the Profession, reviewed applications to, and conducted special projects for, $6 million grant program. Projects included a 3-year departmental funding analysis and a council-wide marketing training initiative.
