6.X Interoperability Applications Specialist

• Maintain an ongoing understanding of ARRA through an interoperability perspective.• Work collaboratively with health care professionals integrating Public Health Interfaces for compliance with Meaningful Use Stage 1. This includes the implementation of the CCD (Continuity of Care Document), Syndromic Surveillance, Immunization, and Electronic Lab Report HL7 V2.5.1 interfaces. In addition, working with health care organizations to prepare for Stage 2 Meaningful Use requirements (E-Prescribing, etc.)• Actively participate and manage HCIS wide 6.x updates at various hospital organizations as well as ongoing interface implementation projects.• Interact with analysts from various vendor applications on site specific issues or required customizations. (ex: GE, Epic, Allscripts, Dr.First, Pyxis/Omnicell, McKesson, LabCorp, Amicas)• Maintain functionality of hospital’s production and development environments by tracking, monitoring and completing user requests, escalated issues; document activities and solutions.• Develop support and specification documentation for various interface products from MEDITECH. (ex: PACS, Public Health Interfaces, CCD, eRX, Lab, Imaging)• Troubleshoot inbound and outbound HL7 messages filing into and generating from MEDITECH. This includes understanding the core of networking issues, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, and other protocols.• Manage interoperability solutions for 15+ MEDITECH 6.x Hospitals • Managing Web based projects and maintaining a high level of devotion and dedication to all 6.x interoperable solutions.
