I starting my working life thinking I wanted to do accounting type work, and did a few roles in that area. Then kind of fell into a contract doing some CAD data capture that morphed in GIS, and I’ve never looked back!I have a solid background in the end-to-end GIS/Spatial process, from the initial visualisation concept/design/modelling of the data, through to the data capture processes, analysis and the end reporting/visualisation and sharing of the data.I have a real passion for spatial data, and have had the pleasure of being part of it’s evolution since starting in the industry in 1999, way way before it was used for all the cool stuff it is now…I believe that good data, especially spatial, is the foundation of knowledge to enable great decisions and move any business from successful to phenomenal!I get a real kick out of taking data someone has never thought of in a spatial context and displaying it spatially, and seeing the realisation in their eyes of the new possibilities of information this gives them.Working in an industry that is constantly evolving and harnessing new technology is fun, interesting and inspiring!If you can't map it, it's not real...
