At BD I assist the engineering team on new product development for PTA balloons. Responsibilities include conducting root cause analysis of product failures, feasibility investigations of device parameters, and statistical analysis of product testing using Minitab. I make sure that the design and processes are all in compliance with ISO 13485 and Title 21 CFR 820 I also conduct installation qualification protocols on equipment to ensure effective manufacturing practices.

At the drop in tutoring center I helped students to understand and learn difficult engineering and science concepts. As a lead tutor I managed a team of tutors. I trained the tutors in best tutoring practices and tutoring difficult engineering concepts.

I worked closely with the medical physicists on the research and development of a medical radiation detector. I managed the completion of a working prototype. This project involved developing the software for running image processing and analysis to convert raw image data into radiation measurements, and designing the device packaging in solidworks. I also performed product testing to confirm product specifications and to troubleshoot device failures.

I was responsible for conducting the research and development of a prototype medical device. I developed test methods and testing fixtures for our product. I also conducted the prototype testing and analyzed data gathered from the test results. Using the prototype test data, I generated product reports of the effectiveness and validity of the device concept.
