Enlisted in the Army in 2008 and trained as a Formation Reconnaissance Soldier within The Light Dragoons, gaining promotion to Lance Corporal in 2011, after showing great leadership and potential. Deployment to Afghanistan in 2009 and 2012, working in a variety of roles being on foot, vehicle mounted and also working alongside the Afghan Police; as part of a Police Advisory Training Team. During my career in the Army I have obtained skills and qualifications as detailed below;• Trained on and maintained CVR(T) (Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance Tracked)• Trained in the use and maintenance of Bowman Communication Systems.• Annually passed Army fitness, equality and diversity and first aid tests (no civilian qualification obtained)• The effective management, leadership and administration of all soldiers under my control.• Team member dealing with incidents during deployment on duty.• Briefed teams and delivered presentations • Developed a high standard of discipline• Punctuality
