Management of highly Agile full-stack development teams delivering sophisticated FX products for the GBM Global FX e-Distribution platform HSBC Evolve. Embracing DevOps and Agile (primarily Kanban) principles, the team focuses on fast, safe and iterative Production releases of both front end (JavaScript/AngularJS) and back end (Java) components. Working closely with business Product Owners, I align IT delivery with current business priorities. By increasing release cadence, my team does 30+ Production releases a week, I enable the Business to make better decisions through tight feedback loops. Management, design and improvement of QA and UAT processes with a drive to automate manual steps where possible and appropriate. Keeping hands on and utilising my DevOps engineering skills, I also write and contribute to tooling for monitoring and release management automation using in-house and open source development and technologies.

I run the GBM Tooling operations, a small team of 4 serving over 10,000 developer and support users across Global Banking and Markets. We offer the Atlassian suite and Splunk centrally, however encourage and help teams run their own solutions and become self sufficient. Using Agile and DevOps frameworks and culture, we aim to set the standard in continuous integration and deployment, and advise and work with teams to achieve the same.

Managed, supported and implemented global eCommerce infrastructure for the investment bank. Required considerable knowledge of a wide variety of applications, OS platforms and hardware to assist multiple business teams including the RBSM (RBS Marketplace) web trading platform. Managed global deployments to testing and Production environments whilst ensuring zero down time for critical applications.
