Experienced criminal justice practitioner with 11 years of professional experience gained from within both custodial and community settings.I have spent the last 7 years working for the Probation Service managing a variety of high risk offender groups and specialising in practices with young people aged 18-25. Prior to this I have worked within adult and youth custody establishments. All my professional experience has been gained across the East and West Midlands.I have a keen interest in learning from academic research, analysing data and producing records of evidence that contribute to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.I have directed my own practitioner-led research studies that have been published and are accessible via the Probation Institute website. My most recent study was published in October 2023 and is an exploration of probation practitioners' transition to the new unified service following the national reunification of probation services.I am a confident, abstract and innovative thinker that endeavours to drive positive change for people working in, and exposed to, the criminal justice sector. I am a professional that loves to add further value and meaning to the work I do.I commenced a Masters degree in Community and Criminal Justice Leadership in Feb 2024 (De Montfort University, part-time).
