These duties further include conflict management, performance appraisals, coordination with construction project management on engineering priorities, and procurement of all subcontracted engineering services.Additional duty is to represent the engineering organization in review and approval of all high-hazard work control, which requires establishing, implementing and verifying adherence to safety engineering controls for construction activities in highly radioactive environments.

Primary responsibility as a Project Manager for DFLAW waste treatment systems, managing two Department of Energy (DOE) T&M contract values to $10M worked simultaneously. Duties included coordinating a staff of 30 multi-disciplined engineers, designers, and analysts, for schedule adherence of all design media required to build, install, and turn over for operations a unique HAZCAT-3 facility used to convey treated nuclear waste between underground nuclear waste tanks, to a vitrification facility, and required the additional flexibility to convey the treated waste to offsite transportation vehicles. This Project performed in strict adherence to all schedule and budget constraints and earned the maximum performance-based incentive offered by the client, a total of $500,000.Responsibility was to provide project management and engineering expertise and guidance to the Test Bed Initiative (TBI). Duties include direct interface with the DOE TBI federal project director, and responsibility to align all resources needed to compliantly treat 2000 gallons of radioactive waste from a one million gallon, underground nuclear waste tank and disposition the waste through final shipment. These duties further include oversight of process hazard analyses, procurement of safety-significant hardware, all phases of design review, overcoming significant permitting challenges, and alignment of scope to contract requirements.Duties further included preparation of earned value and cost variance reports, coordinating engineering, quality, and project controls. These duties also included responsibility for preparation of proposals and contract change requests for the department, development of risk registers and tracking and costing scope changes, ultimately producing the entire package required to receive additional funding.

Primary responsibility was the Project Manager for the SY tank farm double-encased, waste transfer lines, an $850,000 fixed-price contract to provide safety significant, RCRA compliant, waste transfer lines used to convey nuclear waste. Duties include coordinating engineering, quality, and project controls for 5 domestic subcontractors to bend, weld, paint, insulate, and test tight tolerance piping systems. Duties further included ensuring implementation of NQA-1 requirements, and qualification of all sub-tier vendors to perform all scope to stringent requirements beyond those provided by NQA-1, and to further ensure that very prescriptive procurement, welding, and testing requirements were fully adhered to.
