Hello, my name is Kyle Herr. I am a CRC with 6+ years of mental health and physical impairment counseling and assistance. I am currently interested in breaking out into the client-facing counseling field within the scope of mental illness or TBI. I am also interested in working within an HR setting, specifically within an ADA compliance/accommodations setting. I work for Sedgwick as an ADA Job Accommodations Specialist (JAS). During my time as a JAS, I would be the professional to review submitted medical paperwork to determine and explore reasonable accommodations for the employees requesting them. I also was able to use this title to advocate when needed to the employer to show that the requested accommodation(s) are medically necessary and should be upheld in accordance with the ADA/ADAAA. Along side this position, I am also working part time as a lead mental health teen mentor for Appa Health. I provide support for my teens but also for my fellow mentors and create trainings about LGBTQIA+ issues in hopes to help shed light on topics for the mentors. I am doing all this while going to school for my LMSW.
