Kyle Lent, M.A., RPA, serves as an Underwater Archaeologist with The Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HJF) in support of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), Partnerships and Innovations Directorate. He has 10 years of professional experience in the Cultural Resources Management field prior to joining HJF. He earned his master’s degree in Maritime Archaeology from Flinders University in South Australia in 2012 and his bachelor's degree from Florida State University in 2010. He has participated in archaeological investigations across the United States, West Indies, Australasia, and Australia. He has experience with Sections 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), is an American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS) diver, SCUBA Rescue Diver, and holds certifications in CPR, First Aid, DAN 02, and Anti-Terrorism Awareness training. His qualifications exceed those set forth by the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation (48 FR 44716-42).
