CurrentThe energy industry continues to develop at a ceaseless pace, at the hand of consumers’ significant elastic demand for reliable electricity throughout all of the United States. This necessity requires Michels Power a "No-Limits" work environment. It is my responsibility as a project engineer and estimator to provide "out of the box" solutions to these various entities including the utility firms, municipalities, local, and federal governments to provide safe, quality, and full-service electric utility construction throughout the United States. Project’s scope of work varies from overhead distribution to underground conversions, restorations, substation upgrades & expansions and development of greenfield substations. Working with these utilities firms to provide transmission substations and switching stations through 500kV by offering: Complete Design & Build Civil Foundations Below Grade Installations, Repairs, and Expansions Control Building Construction SCADA Installation Systems Commissioning and Testing Transmission and Distribution Interconnects Fiber and Control Wire InstallationsA project’s scope of work encompasses the preliminary estimation duties through the contract close-out and warranty repair work (if ever needed). Coordination with the entire project managerial administration amidst various issues that arise throughout the duration of the project, includes but not limited to: Contract Interpretation Subcontractor Acquisitions & Supervision Safety Work Plans IFC Drawings Material Take-Offs Project Scheduling Quality Assurance/Quality Control Labor Allocation & Material Procurement RFI & Submittal Correspondence Financial Tracking Site Access Project Reporting Document Control Production Tracking Contract Submittals/Closeout
