As a Fellow at The George Washington Disaster and Operational Medicine, a Physician at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, and a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserve since 2019, I apply my skills and knowledge in disaster response, emergency management, mass gathering and operational medicine, public health policy, and medical education to serve diverse populations and respond to complex emergencies. I received my medical education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, followed by formal training in emergency medicine at LSUHSC-New Orleans, where I gained invaluable clinical, disaster response, and leadership skills and experience. My professional missions include, improving the health and well-being of people and communities affected by disasters and crises, both domestically and abroad; promoting engagement that supports civil-military cooperativity and collaboration within medical support of combat and austere environment operations; and advancing the field of disaster medicine through research, education, and training initiatives.
