I have completed my master's degree in Education, Society, and Culture from the University of California, Riverside. I have gained a wide-ranging view of the current issues in education research, with experience in qualitative and quantitative methodologies. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University with a double-major in History and Political Science with a minor in International Relations. I then went on to receive my Master's degree in History from Eastern Michigan University with an emphasis on 20th century American history. Along with my educational achievements, I have been actively involved in politics starting with my role as a research assistant in Washington, DC at a government relations firm. While there, I researched energy and education policy in order to provide the best political outcomes for our clients. I have also worked on various political campaigns, from a U.S. Senate campaign to a grassroots organizational campaign focused around climate change. My research experience, not only in the private sector but also in academia, has been presented in front of government officials as well as national academic organizations and therefore has prepared me to conduct research at all levels.
