I study Space Weather and the role of the Sun in driving the dynamics of near Earth space and within the Earth's magnetosphere. Using multi-point observations from space and ground-based instrumentation I used statistics and big data in order quantify the relationship between solar wind driving and the response of the magnetosphere. The objective of these efforts is to understand how, why, and when, events of extreme Space Weather occur and help mitigate the effects of these events on both ground and space-based technological assets.
