Throughout my education and professional career, I have always been passionate about branding. I aspire to marry my knowledge and interest in the sports industry with my passion for branding.Currently, I am at At George Brown College, gaining valuable hands-on experience in Sport and Event marketing. The program is taught by industry professionals and is highlighted by a co-op work term starting in January through to April. My co-op will be at TSN in Brand Partnerships.At Western, I studied Consumer Behaviour. In my studies, I learned the fundamentals of marketing and have gained a thorough understanding of the habits and behaviours of consumers. I have experience with marketing plans, various marketing communications, media channels and target market analysis.I am a former Varsity Track and Field athlete at Western. As a full time athlete, I found success at the USports level. Track gave me a foundation for work ethic and made my standard for quality extremely high. Rink Moose hockey is a brand that I created last summer. Based around a podcast, Rink Moose is a hockey lifestyle brand that caters to hockey fanatics. My co-host and I host a podcast weekly, which already has 200+ viewers from countries in North America and Europe. A website is on the way, and will feature blog posts and a medium in which to chat with fans of the show.Through Rink Moose i am able to flex my creative muscles as well as practice some marketing techniques that i have learned through my education. I have discovered a real taste for content creation and brand building and would like to continue with the profession. I enjoy the podcast, but my budget and time is extremely limited due to it being a side project.
