CurrenteVinci Micro Reactor Project:- Lead engineer for development of a First of a Kind primary reactivity control mechanism for high temperature operation within a nuclear environment- Engagement with development of advanced, high temperature ceramic matrix composite materials- Mechanical design of complex component assemblies- Creation of design component documentation such a design specifications, detailed calculations, reports, part/assembly drawings, qualification plans, testing plans, etc.- Interfacing with sub-component manufacturers such as motors, actuators, bearings, sensors, clutches, couplings, etc.AP1000 Advanced Passive Plant:- Lead engineer for auxiliary pumps, responsible for a variety of different pump designs and applications for the nuclear power plant (centrifugal, rotary, vacuum, etc.)- Developed a series of design documents including design specifications, envelope drawings, and reports to provide requirements and qualifications for the various pump applications- Engaged with equipment suppliers to support fabrication-follow efforts and manage topics associated with final design, fabrication, testing and installation activities- Provided resolution of any issues encountered during field installation, testing, and operation in support of customer objectives to deploy rapid response and prevent delays to construction or commercial operation objectives and deadlines- Lead engineer for an alternative design Reactor Coolant Pump application for the AP1000 design and coordinating actions and activities for implementation and qualification of an alternative design for the plant design and operationRecipient of multiple George Westinghouse Signature Awards for technical engagement of issue resolution in support of commercial operation objectives for AP1000 projects.
