Reconnaissance Nco
CurrentCurrently I am the CBRN Reconnaissance NCO for the 44th Civil Support Team's Survey section. I am responsible for conducting and supervising maintenance of over $4 million worth of unit gear and equipment. I am responsible for section individual and unit collective training. Ensuring the Survey section is fully trained in CBRN Reconnaissance, Site Characterization, and Sampling operations. I develop and execute section level training plans to meet Command and NGB requirements. Two months after being selected as the Reconnaissance NCO for the 44th Civil Support Team, the 44th had their Training Proficiency Evaluation (TPE). With the absence of our Survey Team Leader and a 66% turnover of personnel within the last year I was successfully able to train the Survey section and received 57 "go's" and zero "no-go's" during TPE. During this assignment my section has participated in multiple Steady State Mission, training exercises for the State of Florida HAZMAT Response, and attended numerous advanced CBRN schools. Additional duties include ABCP NCOIC, Maintenance NCO, PT NCOIC, IWQ Range OIC, and Calibrations.
Operations Nco / Cbrn Hazardous Modeler
As the Operations NCO and Hazards Modeler assigned to a WMD-CST, I was responsible for Battalion level Operations and CBRN Staff duties. I created and managed the Unit Calendar, oversaw all section level training plans, updated and maintained all unit Garrison Standard Operating Guidelines (G-SOG) and Tactical Standard Operating Guidelines (T-SOG), tracked and maintained Digital Training Management System (DTMS), and managed the Unit Status Report (USR). I supervised the Unit Training NCO in the performance of their duties. Additionally, during missions, my duties include setting up and maintaining an Operations Center, managing the Common Operating Picture (COP), and producing Hazard plume models based on suspected Hazardous Materials. Utilizing advanced GIS software to integrate data layers to enhance the Incident Commander's decision-making process. While serving in this position I supported real world CBRN threat mission with the FBI. Additionally, I was able to pass the 44th's Standardized Evaluation and Assistance Team (SEAT) for both the vacant Training NCO checklist and the Operations checklist receiving a 100% in Training and 96% in Operations. Meanwhile I attended Senior Leaders Course (SLC) for 74D graduating #1 in my class as the Distinguished Honor Graduate receiving the Army Achievement Medal.
Assistant Operations Nco / Training Nco
As the Assistant Operations NCO / Training NCO I was responsible for all CBRN unit level training events, Individual training requirements, professional Military Education (PME) for both Enlisted and Officers, Unit Status Report (USR). Utilizing Defense Training Management System (DTMS), Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS), and Total Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS). Additionally, I was the Decontamination NCO for the team and served as the lead DECON NCO for various Steady State Missions serving more than twenty agencies throughout the State's First Responders and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). Attended the Advanced DECON Course for Hazardous Materials with Dugway Proving Grounds and developing Tactical Standard Operating Guidelines (TSOG) for the State of Florida's Civil Support Teams (CST). As the Training NCO I was solely responsible for the 2015 Standardized Evaluation Assistance Team (SEAT) evaluation receiving a 99% rating. During my time as the Assistant Operations NCO / Training NCO I received the Florida Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, and Humanitarian Service Medal.
Cbrn Survey Team Chief
As a Survey Team Chief I was responsible for two service members on my team. I ensured both team members were trained on all CBRN equipment, CBRN Reconnaissance, Site Characterization, and Sampling Operations. I was the TMDE coordinator for the unit and personally responsible for over $500,000.00 worth of equipment. As a Survey Team Chief I led my team on numerous Real-world CBRN Responses, Steady State Missions, Training exercises, and various advanced CBRN Schools. I was hand selected from the FBI to be the CBRN Joint Hazard Assessment Team (JHAT) for the Superbowl, was the only one of my peers to have the opportunity to attend Chemical Biological Class (CBC) Level 2 with Dugway Proving Grounds, UT. Received the Army Achievement Medal for my time as a Survey Team Chief.
Survey Team Member
As a Survey Team Member I was a subject matter expert for CBRN Reconnaissance, Site Characterization, and Sampling operations. I was responsible for maintaining and operating advanced Military and Commercial CBRN monitoring and detection equipment. Operating in various Steady State Missions and assisting first responders in CBRN detection and identification. Responsible for maintaining and calibrating all unit equipment in excess of $500,000.00. Additional duties included Fire Safety, Environmental, and Physical Security. Receiving an Army Achievement Medal for my additional duties during the 44th's Standardized Evaluation Assistance Team (SEAT) inspection with an overall rating of 99%.
Air Defense Artillery (Ada) Early Warning Systems Operator (Ews)
As an Early Warning Systems Operator I was an Air Defense Battle Management System Operator. Utilizing specialized skills to sustain air space superiority and protecting against aerial and missile attacks. During this time frame I was mobilized to Washington D.C. for Operations Noble Eagle (ONE) where I was selected ahead of my peers to work in the Joint Air Defense Operations Center (JADOC) on Bowling Air Force Base. Receiving the Army Achievement Medal for "Top Track Team" during Exercise America's Shield by successfully processing more Tracks of Interest (TOIs) than any other team in the Battalion.
Air Defense Artillery (Ada)
During this time frame I enlisted in the Florida National Guard as a 14J, now 14G, and attended Basic Combat Training (BCT) and Advanced Individual Training (AIT). Upon completion of BCT, On behalf of 1st Battalion, 34th Infantry, I was awarded "Outstanding Soldier Leader of the Cycle" for my perseverance, dedication, and ability to rapidly acquire basic military skills serving as an example for other Soldiers to follow.
