Bedrock is in the financial industry, specifically a global investment and advisory firm. My purpose is to provide technical support to internal staff and external clients, assisting them with PC, Server, Networking and Hardware problems. My roles and responsibilities include:• Overseeing IT logistics, such as, liaising with all 3rd party service providers.• Built a new SharePoint environment for document management and external data sharing. All existing data was also migrated to SharePoint. • Manage SaaS integrations with Azure for SSO. Among these was the integration of Salesforce, Tableau and LastPass. • During Bedrocks cloud journey, I was involved in the migration to Office 365 with a hybrid email setup and Azure AD. • I was involved with the complete redesign of the network from the ground up with up to date best practise and high availability. • Overall Bedrock is heavily cloud based; many services are now public cloud SaaS models, integrated into our environment. As I have been involved in this journey, I have had great exposure and gained valuable experience in cloud delivery and service models with our migrations. Whilst pursuing studies in this area, this has allowed me to match my experience with knowledge gained from these activities.

The company is in the corporate hospitality industry and is the leading company world-wide. My role at THG involves business development using telecommunications. My target call rate is 120 calls a day, targeting C-Level executives for corporate sports hospitality packages ranging from 17K to 50K in Euros. Most of the time the package is only for 1 day but others have a maximum of 3 days. All leads are researched and generated by myself. And these functions are always catered towards the biggest and best sporting events anywhere in the world.

The company is in retail, and is known for fantastic customer services and has a 98% positive feedback rating. I worked on the phone team selling the products and answering calls related to a variety of retail ops. I was also based on the 3 showroom floors where I greeted customers that came into the store within seconds of them walking through the door, I would offer them food and beverages including my services in designing their dream sofas of beds.

The company is in the financial industry, and my role in the company was to qualify potential clients and put them through the early stages of the review process, on the road to becoming a client. My duties included > Qualifying new hot key customers based on strict criteria, whilst adhering to data protection and compliance (FCA). > The progression of clients using a bespoke CRM system. > Handling customer queries and resolving case issues. > Liaising with pension providers on the customer's behalf.As well as my primary duties, I was the first contact internally for the employee’s IT problems, from VOIP systems to PCs. I also did a little bit of work on the racks in the server room.

This was a very diverse company specialising in tenders and proposal writing as well as in the import/export industry for an array of products. I oversaw the procurement of new products that the company brought in to sell to our clients. Clients were very similar to B&Q here in the UK. I also did product management of all new and existing stock making sure that it was all accounted for and that it was the expected quality upon arrival in our 4 to 5 containers each month. As you can see by the title, I managed the IT for the company, so anything from PC maintenance to building and managing the network.

Zimbabwe

JRG is the largest construction company in Zimbabwe. My duties included things like in checking that the hours logged in for all the machinery, matched clients’ billing hours. I was also responsible for winning new business by writing tenders that were to the highest quality. At times I was on “site” gaining experience in those areas by observing the on goings of construction work.

Mozambique

Phoenix is an incredibly diversified organisation that specialises in the seed industry, timber and livestock management. During my time there I was responsible for a wide variety jobs on the farm, as listed below.• Tree Felling• Land Preparation, planting and crop harvesting• Fencing• Livestock management• Bridge construction• Operation of various farm machinery
