Worked specifically with Big Block V-Twin in a surface drive outboard marine application.• Developed proficiency using DVP&Rs, DFMEA, and TR’s while supporting production, cost reductions, and warranty of small vertical engine.• Assisted both production and development engineering with material analysis working with polishing equipment, electron microscope, and other material sample preparation and viewing equipment. Wrote reports of material findings, failure causes, and material recommendations.• Supported the development of new engines by testing similar competitor engines and testing parts for a new engine.• Investigated engine waste energy and conversion to usable energy for heating water. • Managed testing for development and production, investigated cost reductions, and rewrote engineering standards for electric and gasoline powered pressure washers.• Traveled to Poplar Bluff, MO plant to support production of engines and assist with plant remodel.• Performed finite element analysis support for various engineer teams and projects.
