My goal is to motivate student athletes to be the best that they can be both on and off the court. Success is more than winning games. I hope that after the last game has been played, that each young man/woman can look back and remember the real meaning of success: friendships developed, teamwork, pride in school and community, a disciplined lifestyle, the joy of competition, dedication to excellence, and a desire to be the best. I want each young man/woman to have a experience he can remember for a lifetime! Players should someday return to our school with a sense of pride because they were part of something very special with our basketball program.The Head Basketball Coaching position may be the most visible position in our community. With the job comes a number of responsibilities. First, I must be a positive role model both on and off the court. I need to practice what I preach. As a basketball coach I must be available throughout the community for: speaking engagements, youth league functions, charity events, etc. The Head Basketball Coach must also be an outstanding classroom educator because he will be highly scrutinized by faculty and the community. The Head Basketball Coach must be organized because of the responsibility of an entire program. He must monitor the entire system while allowing the coaching staff to do their assigned duties as well.
