I am a honors student, National Merit Scholar Finalist, and computer science and anthropology double major at the University of Florida who is looking for experience leveraging artificial intelligence for use in social projects and for research purposes. My choice of double major reflects my desire to use modern technology to address societal issues and make a positive impact on my community.My background in research on social processes at the Florida Museum of Natural history has taught me the skills needed to think creatively and use emerging technologies in effective ways to address these issues. One field that I would love to explore is using AI to enhance computer science education a topic I have become particularly invested in as I am currently working as a teaching assistant for an introductory computer science class. Being able to utilize machine learning algorithms to provide a personalized educational experience would be a massive improvement to the vital field of computer science education, especially considering the need for qualified professionals in computing fields.
