I've worked in the Creative Industry for over a decade, and have grown from an entry level Graphic Designer to a full time Visual Media Specialist. When I say Visual Media Specialist, I'm talking about using the amalgamation of skills I've acquired over the years to help businesses and teams behind creative projects solve problems, especially where visuals and the strategy behind positioning those visuals are concerned. On my journey, I moved away from Graphic Design and Illustration into Animation and Motion Design, where I discovered my love for Visual Effects for film & Animation. This included learning character design, character animation, environmental design, 3D simulations and lighting. I became a generalist being able to undertake tasks in any area of the Pre-Production, Production or Post Production process that a project might require.I didn't focus on just my professional skills, but I've sharpened my team leading skills, sought out newer information that would inform my growth and philosophies, and reinvented my brand to align myself with the goals I want to achieve, and the clients and associates that I want to work with. This has allowed me to work on projects ranging from Animated TV Spots to Visual Effects for music videos and even 3D animated series. Currently I'm involved with 3 teams responsible for producing entertainment content, educational content and VFX Solutions, which are all managed by Digital Compass. My team, our network and I are making moves to change the landscape of the local Animation, Film and Creative Industry, by contributing to the library of professional works that come out of Trinidad and Tobago and becoming a reliable resource that people can trust, collaborate with and depend on.
