Each week a new activity was taught to children 3-12 years old. The main goals of the program were to improve the sport specific skills, improve coordination, improve fine and gross motor skills, introduce children to a variety of different activities, and to get kids physically active. I also created and taught a nutrition unit to the school aged children once a month. This aspect introduced the children to different snacks that were more nutrient dense than a candy bar and soda. The final aspect of my position involved meeting with daycare directors to promote the program and get them to allow classes to be held at their location.
