Utilizing structural, architectural, and mechanical drawings I create 3D BIM models of steel members and connections. The models are then used for fabrication drawings and reports to create the steel members, and for use on the field for steel erection. This process involves working together and working with structural engineers, architects, fabricators, and project managers while simultaneously coordinating a model between the different mediums that can be used for fabrication and erection purposes. The model can then be used to help coordinate design between the structural engineer and architect, and requires my coordination and experience to make and redirect decisions that are centered on how the building is fabricated.
