Kyle Bryant is an athlete, author, and director of the bicycle ride fundraiser, rideATAXIA for the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA). rideATAXIA has raised over $11 million for Friedreich's ataxia research since 2007. Despite his diagnosis of the rare disease, Friedreich's ataxia (FA) at the age of 17, Kyle has completed numerous long distance bike rides including "The World's Toughest Bike Race", Race Across America, and a ride to the top of the world's highest motorable pass - Umling La, 19,300'. Kyle's memoir, Shifting Into High Gear, published in 2019.At the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), Kyle works with all stakeholders including the patient community, industry partners, academic researchers, and government agencies to help foster a unified community working toward treatments and cures for FA and all Rare Diseases.
