Research Engineer
CurrentKyle Brandenburg is the Research Engineer in both the Surface Integrity and Process Optimization (SIPO) laboratory and Corrosion laboratory in the research division of Lambda Technologies in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Brandenburg functions as the primary technician for all projects associated with the SIPO and Corrosion laboratories. Along with providing testing solutions to clients, the SIPO and Corrosion labs conduct all in-house research and testing pertaining to the surface enhancement of materials and components. Laboratory capabilities include high and low cycle fatigue testing, fractography, macro and micro hardness testing, shot peening, heat treating, potentiodynamic electrochemistry, alternate immersion testing, and stress corrosion cracking studies. At Lambda Technologies, Mr. Brandenburg has also worked with a team of technicians in the X-Ray Diffraction laboratory where he assisted with projects dealing with the destructive and non-destructive measurement of residual stresses in materials and components. Residual stress laboratory capabilities include x-ray diffraction, strain gaging and sectioning, electropolishing, and on-site services.
