I started off working in fast food when I was 16. While working in fast food I developed a good sense of communication and also customer service, from there I moved into retail. While working in retail I started as a sales associate, I then moved up and became a jewelry associate at the company where I got to experience working closely with people one on one. Working closely with customers helped me build relationships and customer service skills. I also worked part-time for the first couple of years I was enrolled at HCC as a work-study/office assistant. Working as an office assistant really helped build my skills with computers, learn how to take proper phone calls. and working with others in an office setting. I currently, work for BHN (Behavioral Health Network) where I get to also work closely with people and build relationships. With BHN I am opened to more experience in the mental health field and get a better understanding of the field I am looking to go into.
