My current job duties include building and management of explosives, ordering explosives and shop supplies via PO/Material Request forms. I use invoices and E-requester to ensure that explosives and supply counts are correct. As a company, we are under strict supervision of the ATF and Colorado Explosives Division to account for all explosives from when we receive explosives to when they are used in the field. Knowing regulations and laws is part of the job, requiring me to stay up to date is key to staying within the guide lines that have been set before us. I also cover for field jobs if someone takes time off and have gained valuable knowledge as an employee for this great company.

As a Service Technician, it was my job to handle call-outs and service rental equipment in the field. I was supplied with a 1-ton service truck, and tools for the job to help me reduce our equipment downtime. I gained extensive knowledge in welding, fabrication, and customer communication. As a field service technician, I was in direct contact and communication with our clients, which gave me the opportunity to hone my communication skills. My duties included fixing broken equipment, meeting strict deadlines on job orders, using every tool in my arsenal to get the job done, and working efficiently to finish my work in a timely manner. The equipment I was responsible for included: Pre-Mix tanks (diesel, electric), light plants(diesel, electric), transfer pumps(electric), trash pumps(electric), servicing of work truck(filters, oil, tire rotation, general clean-up), and rebuilding pump seals. I had a large amount of responsibility, as well as being a self starter because there was very little supervision to guide me. I was encouraged to ask for assistance although usually it was a phone call to my supervisor because I worked in remote locations and traveled constantly. I loved the challenging requirements for this job which were thinking on your feet, figuring out complex problems and deadlines, along with working until the job was done and/or the clients satisfaction was met.
