For the past 33 years I have worked in private dental offices as a dental hygienist providing comprehensive oral health care with a strong emphasis in prevention of disease. My dental "roots" appear to be genetically driven; my father is a retired general dentist, my mother a retired dental hygienist, and my brother a general dentist. My greatest weakness is that I care too much about my patients. Tomorrow brings the closing of one door as I will be working my last day in the dental practice that I started working in 26 years ago.
