Serves as a Weapons Sergeant for a Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha (SFODA); specializing in Unconventional Warfare operations throughout the AFRICOM AOR; advises the Detachment Commander on all aspects of small unit tactics, weapons employment, force protection, operational planning, and mission analysis; coordinates and conducts weapons training for a 12 man SFODA; develops POI's; trains allied and indigenous soldiers up to a company size force; assists in planning, coordination, and execution of all types of Special Forces and Unconventional Operations; accountable for over $1,500,000 worth of specialized equipment.
